Day 01 Beijing/Guiyang Overnight at Regal Hotel (4 star)

Today’s Activities: Pick you up from your hotel or apartment to Beijing airport by our tour guide & driver and take the flight to Guiyang. Upon your arrival Guiyang, our tour guide & driver will transfer you to hotel.

 

Day 02 Guiyang/Leishan Overnight at Leigongshan International Hotel (4star)

Today’s Activities: Qingman Miao Village; Shiqiao paper-making Village; Datang mini-skirt Miao Village

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

Qingman Miao Village: Located 23 kilometers southwest away from Kaili city. One of the biggest characteristics here is that a guest who visits a household at will may have witnessed the entire process of traditional Miao clothes-making. The main traditional clothing material is the homemade cloth span, woven, and dyed all by the Miaos. The widespread local song "Cotton Song" states the entire process of looking for the cotton seed, seed selection, land reclamation, sowing, harvesting cotton, getting rid of seed, bowing cotton, spinning, reeling thread, dyeing, and sewing. In each household you can see dye vats used for dying cotton material. This kind of dye vat is made of the cedar plank, approximately 2 and half feet high, one meter in diameter. The dye vat must be raised because it takes about one month to finish dying a bolt of cloth by indigo dying water and this process is called "aising vat".

Shiqiao Miao village:  A Miao village is well known for silk felt making whilst Shiqiao village has a history of paper making whose ancient traditional methods of production are still followed today.
Datang mini-skirt Miao village: The village situated at the foot of Leigong Mountain. You will be greeted by its friendly villagers and drink the block way wines before entering the village. Its silver ornaments will leave you a deep impression.

 

Day 03: Leishan/Kaili Overnight at Heaven-Sent Hotel (4star)

Today’s Activities: Jidao Miao Village; Chongan Ge Village

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

Jidao Miao Village lies in the southeast of Mt Leigong and it is about 20 kilometres from Kaili city.With crystal clear Balahe river passing at its foot.There are 220 families in the village with 1037 residents.All the villagers are Miao and they have been keeping their simple but moving customs since their ancestors settled down on this intangible holy-land. The hundred-year-old barns and timbered houses will catch the visitors’ eyes most.

Chongan Ge Village is 50 km north of Kaili city with a population of 300 people. The Ge people are warm and hospitable. Even the unfamiliar guests from afar will be entertained with rice wine and delicious food. They are famous for their military garments and batik-making handicrafts. Due to the continuous wars and nature disasters, their ancestors migrated from Jiangxi Province long time ago and hide them up in the deep high mountains of Guizhou Province for survival.The Ge People at present pass down their history with batik costumes. Houyi is regarded as a legendary hero who once shot down nine suns with arrow in the eyes of the Ge people.

 

Day 04: Kaili/Shidong/Kaili Overnight at Heaven-Sent Hotel (4star)

Today’s Activities: A whole day to attend the Sister Rice Festival（April 28^th of 2010）

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

The Sister Rice Festival is well known as the Oriental Valentine’s Day. During the festival the Miao women dress in their holiday best, bring colorful cooked glutinous rice to seek for their sweethearts so as to express their tender feelings in a implicit way. The festival is also accompanied by the activities: bull-fighting, dragon -boat race, wooden-drum dance and local market. The fantastic silver ornaments will catch your eyes most.

 

Today’s Activities: Transfer to Guiyang airport and flight back to Beijing, upon your arrival Beijing our tour guide will transfer you to your hotel or apartment.
