Tibetan handicrafts are favored souvenir items in Jiuzhaigou, especially Tibetan knives, popular for their exquisite craftwork and unique shape (note that knives cannot be brought in your carry-on luggage on the flight home). In addition, Tibetan paper, Thangks (ritual scroll paintings) and Aroma (similarly portable images perfect for a society of nomads) are also for sale. Also worth purchasing are the embroideries by local women, decorating everything from hats to bags. Be ready to bargain.
