The Confucius Temple is an important place for the Chinese, which consider it as a center of their culture, commerce and life of the city. Around the city are buildings that have Ming and Qing style architecture. After a few hours at the Confucius Temple, you will visit the Zhonghua City Gate. The city gate is the best looking gate of the Nanjing city wall, which is also the best preserved Chinese ancient castle. The gate has three trap cities, making up the enclosed vacant lots between the four delicately designed archways of the gate. The structure is built of bricks and special cement to maintain its strength. After visiting the gate, you will be brought back to your hotel or apartment.
